"Slowing down is not better
than any other kind of speed.
I think we need them all.
I do believe that in a fast moving world,
it can be helpful to practice slowing down."
Kristien

Why?
When I’m able to slow down, my experience tends to change:
my awareness sharpens, my body softens, my nervous system finds its breath.
When I slow down with another person a deeper field of connection opens. Words have more meaning. Subtle signals are noticed. The quality of attention grows rich and palpable. Just to name a few…
Resistance?
There can be quite some resistance to slow down.
After all, speed can feel safer, more familiar or simply habitual.
Slowing down can bring us face to face with sensation, longing,
even discomfort we’d rather not notice.
So here’s the gentle invitation we’ll play with in this series:
Slowing down doesn’t have to be a skill to master, but a permission to return, again and again.
to yourself, to the present, to the relational field where everything real is waiting.
Therefore: can we slow down just enough to sense what’s here, without demand or judgment?
Let’s explore this field together.
“Slowing down is not the opposite of aliveness.
It’s the condition in which true aliveness can be felt.”
Shima
