Mini-Series
PERMISSION TO BE

Permission to Be...

A  series about softening the effort of trying so hard to be someone I think I'm supposed to be.

A place to pause the performing, the fixing, the (im)proving, the adapting…

A space to explore:

      · How much of yourself have you made acceptable?

      · How much of yourself gets edited  before anyone gets to meet you?

      · What happens to the rest of you?

How much energy does it take to be someone other than yourself?

Maybe you don't need
to become more yourself.

Maybe there are already
so many selves in there...
the loud one,
the quiet one,
the messy one,
the uncertain one,
the one who doesn't know.

Maybe they don't need fixing.

Maybe they just need
somewhere to be.

Permission to Be

is a warm invitation

to soften

for a moment,

the effort of trying to be someone else.

To loosen our grip…

On how we think we should feel.

On who we think we should be.

On the stories we've come to believe that we're too much,

not enough,

or not quite there yet.

To set down…

- for a while-

the exhausting work

of managing ourselves.

And perhaps

soaking in the

quiet practice of keeping ourselves company

exacty as we are.

Together.

"

I didn’t expect so much insight to happen. The pace was just right for me, you conducting it… ohhh, wonderful. There’s a lot of trust in your leadership. I relaxed into your context. I could really dive in. The feeling of depth is something I remember. I discovered patterns and I was able to experiment. It’s amazing what connection can do, even through zoom.

                                                                                                                       "
